Essay Grading Service

I can correct and grade your IELTS essays if you send them to me by email.

The cost is ¥150 for each Task 1 essay and ¥250 for each Task 2 essay. (No discounts.)

You will need to send the money to my bank account before I do the work.

This is what I will do:

• I will correct your English errors (or the main ones if your essay is almost all errors!) and include explanations of the main corrections. Sometimes I will suggest "improvements" when your English is not really incorrect but could be better.

• I will give you the four sub-scores for your essay (i.e., ‘Task Response’ (‘Task Achievement’ for Task 1); ‘Coherence and Cohesion’; ‘Lexical Resource’ (= vocabulary); and ‘Grammatical Range and Accuracy’) and I will give you an overall IELTS score for the essay. If there is a Task 1 and a Task 2 together, I will also estimate the final score as if the two essays were a complete IELTS Writing Test.

• I will point out any particular weaknesses in the four sub-score areas and suggest how you could improve.

• I will add some overall advice about your essay.

Please note that sometimes I am busy, for example, during the summer vacation teaching period, or if many students send me essays to grade. However, generally speaking, I will be able to return your corrected and graded essays to you within 10 days, possibly even the within 2 days, if I have time.

If you are interested and want to know my bank account details, send me an email with the words, "Essay Service" in the subject line of the email. In my reply I will try to estimate when I will return your essays to you. You can send your essays with your first email but I will not grade them until I receive the payment.

Of course, you must include the full wording of the question with each essay. (Try to use questions written by native English speakers such as the questions in the Cambridge practice test books. Questions written by Chinese English teachers or from the internet are sometimes not clear or are sometimes not accurate representations of the real IELTS Writing test.)
